Become a Sponsor

The Little Float Milwaukie is an annual community event focused on bringing attention to and encouraging fuller utilization of our natural resource and park in Elk Rock Island and Milwaukie Bay Park. The event includes captained shuttles from the boat dock in Milwaukie Bay Park to the beaches of Elk Rock Island where participants are then encouraged to float back to Milwaukie Bay Park in controlled groups and with floatation devices that have been decorated by participants. Once back in Milwaukie Bay Park there will be a community gathering in the Park and Bay including food vendors, cooling tents, T-shirts and community artist, and some fun in the water. As the floating wraps up in the early evening a few small groups of ticketed diners will be shuttled to the Island to enjoy a local meal while learning more about Elk Rock Island's History, Ecology, and current restoration and management efforts. The diner will culminate with a guided botanical tour of the Island by is local volunteer Stewards to explore and learn about the unique and special habitats on the island.

The Little Float is brought hosted in partnership with the Downtown Alliance of Milwaukie and Milwaukie Parks Foundation and serves as annual fundraising event for both 501(c)3 organizations and their efforts in Downtown Milwaukie and on Elk Rock Island. Ticket sales serve as a means of managing the impact and quantity of event related guests on the Island and are kept affordable to provide access to as many community members as possible.

The Downtown Alliance of Milwaukie is a community based organization focused on the revitalization and responsible growth of our Downtown Milwaukie Community. DAM is to date a fully self funded organization made up of community and business volunteers coordinating and partner with our City, County, and State to pursue a vibrant downtown for all. Some of our achievements this past year include:
1. growth of the downtown pollinator pathway
2. hosting regular meetings bring the community, businesses and City Staff together to work on downtown initiatives together
3. the award of a $400,000 grant to support in the renovation of Perry's Rexall Building with it's building owners
4. Support in the renovation of (4) additional buildings in our downtown area
5. New and existing business support through direct involvement and connection with available resources
6. Volunteer efforts focused on the restoration and management of Elk Rock Island
7. Support and engagement in the funding and completion of Milwaukie Bay Park
8. Support and partnership with Milwaukie's First Friday Markets
9. Hosting of downtown Milwaukie events including: Little Float Milwaukie, Holiday decorations and lighting, downtown beautification efforts, and more to come .
The event, and associated organization's efforts, are largely possible due to generous donations by community members and businesses. While all donations are welcomed and appreciated, we offer tiered suggested donation levels with some additional perks offered as a token of our appreciation. These suggested tiers are as follows:
1. Founding Sponsors $3,000+; including:
  1. Exclusive sponsorship within industry
  2. Logos on all promotions advertising and listed as; "Present By..."
  3. Logos on event T-shirts and event signage
  4. Premier location for booth space at event
  5. Featured on event website and social media
  6. Newsletter mention
2. Community Sponsors $1,000-2,500; including:
  1. Logos on event T-shirts and promotions
  2. Premier on site promotion
  3. Preferable booth placement on site at event
  4. Newsletter and website mention
  5. Featured on social medio post
  6. Non-exclusive listings at event
3. Community Supporter $300-750:
  1. Listing on promotional materials
  2. Listing on event shirts, no logo
  3. 10'x10' space at event
